The series will begin online May 2nd, 7-9PM EST. We'll meet May 16th and June 6th, also online.
Our online gatherings will focus on expanding skills, teaching theory & background information.
Sessions will be taught jointly by The Leslies.
Of course, all online classes will be recorded (audio & video) and available to registrants for a lifetime.
Hands-on practice, skill development and refinement will be held in-person
at each respective location, in Pine Lake & in Erie
from 10AM-1PM, on May 6th, 20th and June 10th
Things you might like to know:
- Limited class sizes at each in-person location will allow for interactive learning. We're incorporating both in-person & online components to best utilize our time.
- In person classes will be held in two locations simultaneously. The choice is yours: Pine Lake GA or in Erie PA.
- We'll work on intake and assessments, including interviewing clients to gain confidence and skill
- We'll explore how to find and use reliable resources for herbal actions, contraindications and begin to address questions related to dosing
- We'll offer supervised practice related to decision making around timelines and herbs for support, always with an eye towards safety and legal priorities, while addressing economic, emotional and cultural realities
What you’ll need to bring to the series:
You’ll need to bring a readiness and enthusiasm to expand your foundational herbal knowledge, a commit to homework between classes and a willingness to demonstrate your skills in person.
We will spend time with intake forms and checklists, confidentiality, interactions;
assessment methods (reliable and not) including sclera, tongue and mouth, movement, iris, nails, skin tone, voice
as well as interpreting lab results and understanding their uses and limits.
We will also stress reliable sources of information, while aiming to create realistic and meaningful protocols for our clients.
